Roger Russell Steffens

Roger R. STEFFENS, age 67 of Saegertown, PA, prior of Mayfield Village, died May 12, 2012 in Chardon. Born Oct. 24, 1944 in Cleveland to John Russell and Ruth (nee: Gierke) Steffens. He was retired from Labors Local 860. Roger enjoyed working on his property and making maple syrup. His greatest joy was spending time with his family at his log cabin that he built. Roger is survived by his wife of 41 years Lynn (nee: Scott) of Saegertown; sons Todd (Jennifer) Steffens of Chesterland and Chad (Bre) Steffens of Mayfield Hts; daughters Holly (Sean) Petersen of Chardon and Wendy (Michael) Kirby of Mayfield Hts; grandchildren Jake, Katelyn, Austin, Julie, Cody, Benjamin, Timothy, Ryan, Evelynn, Roger, Travis, and Emily; mother Ruth Steffens of Canton and sister Rhonda (Michael) Seaman of Canton. He was preceded in death by his father John Russell Steffens. The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8pm Wednesday May 16 at the Burr Funeral Home, 116 South ST.
