Robert H. Ashley age 93 of E. Claridon died Oct. 21, 2014 at Richmond Medical Center. Born March 15, 1921 in Cleveland to Robert and Margaret (nee: Bredrick) Ashley, he had been a longtime area resident. Robert was a retired truck driver with GE. He was a WWII veteran of the US Army Air Corp. He enjoyed wood working and hunting for things with his metal detector. Survivors include daughters Karen Dymanski of Eastlake and Kathleen (James) Ammon of Chardon; sons Robert E. of Trumbull Twp and Edward (Adesuwa) of Euclid; 8 grandchildren; great grandchildren and extended family. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Donna (nee: Stevens) Ashley, daughters Margaret McDonald and Ann Bitner and first wife Elizabeth “Betty” (nee: Petrick) Ashley). GRAVESIDESVC: 1pm on Saturday Oct. 25, 2014 at E. Claridon Cemetery (On St. Rt. 608 South of St. Rt. 322). Donations to an Alzheimer’s charity of your choice.
