ROBERT ALLEN RECKART

Age 63, of Middlefield, OH, died on Friday, May 11, 2018. He was born on December 29, 1954, in Cleveland, OH, to Playford and Catherine “Kay” (Nee: Brown) Reckart. He married Margaret “Peggy” Reed in 1978 and she preceded in death in 2009. Robert then married Marilyn Gingerich in 2010. He was a 1973 graduate of Chardon High School.

Robert was a professional sporting dog trainer. He had been the president of Amberwood Kennels in Rome, OH, and was an active member of the Buckeye Retriever Club.

Survivors include his wife, Marilyn; sister, Caren Parker of Ardmore, OK; step-son, Justin Gingerich of Jersey City, NJ; uncle, Floyd Reckart of Orwell, OH. He was preceded in death by his parents, first wife and 2 brothers, William and Bradley Reckart.

The family will receive friends Thursday, May 17, from 5-7PM, with a Celebration of Life at 7PM, at the Burr Funeral Home, 116 South St., Chardon, OH. Contributions in Robert’s name may be made to the Buckeye Retriever Club, c/o Bill Skeels, P.O. Box 52, North Bloomfield, OH  44450, for Youth Retriever Training Activities.
