Richard Cayle Adams

Richard Cayle Adams age 76 of Munson Twp. was born on September 5, 1935 in Munson Twp.and was a lifelong resident. He died on December 13, 2011at his home. Dick was an Army Veteran serving from 1955-1957. He was a chemical engineer with Sohio Research until his retirement after 30 years of devoted service.He married Patricia on May 25, 1957 at The Church of St. Mary, Chardon and together they raised four loving children and enjoyed their seven grandchildren.He had a life long passion for baseball, coaching at all levels. He enjoyed traveling and sailing. Dick was an active member of The Church of St. Mary. Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Patricia of Munson Twp., Mother, Gertrude Adams of Chardon, Brother, Tom (Anne)Adams of Sacramento, CA, Daughters; Bonnie(Tom) Robbins of Chardon Twp., and Kathryn (Marty) Quinn of Shaker Hts., Daughter-in-Law, Lyn Adams of PainesvilleSon, Robert (Deena) Adams of Chardon, and Grandchildren; Allison, Cayle, R.C., Evan, Cody, Melanie, and Cara.He is preceded in death by his Father, Cayle Adams and son, Richard Cayle Adams, Jr.Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, December 17, 2011 at 11:30AM at The Church of St. Mary, 401 North St., Chardon. Burial will be in East Claridon Cemetery.Visitation is from 5-7PM on Friday at the Burr Funeral Home, 116 South Street, (St. Rt. 44, 500′ south of Rt. 6/Chardon Square), Chardon and from 10:30-11:30 at the Church on Saturday.Memorial Contributions are suggested to The Church of St. Mary, 401 North St., Chardon, Ohio 44024.
