Patricia Naomi Tecil

May 29, 1943 - April 6, 2012

Patricia Naomi (Evans) Tecil was born May 29, 1943 in Detroit Michigan. She graduated in 1961 from Riverside High School in Painesville, Ohio. Pat was active with student council and cheerleading, and was voted “Most Friendliest” in her class. She graduated from the Cleveland Academy of Cosmetology in 1963 with a degree in cutting, curling and coloring with a minor in therapy. She married William E. Tecil at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Painesville, OH on June 12, 1965. Pat worked as a beautician at The Salon in Carlisle’s Department Store and Bella Donna Salon and Spa in Painesville. She loved to travel and lived life to the fullest each and every day. Her favorite times were spending time with family, cooking, talking, and most of all, laughing. She was a devoted wife, mother and Nana, and always a faithful friend. Survivors include her husband William E. Tecil of Madison, OH; two daughters, Michelle (James R.) Sheridan of Amherst, OH and Tanya (MAJ Michael, US Army) Parsons of Fayetteville, NC; grandchildren, Ella and Jack Parsons, and her brother, James (Janet) Evans of Painesville, OH. Pat was preceded in death by her parents, George Earl and Marie (Nee; Hurley) Evans, and two brothers, George and Thomas Evans. The family asks in lieu of flowers, a donation may be made in their Mother’s name (Patricia N. Tecil) to: Taussig Cancer Institute, PO Box 931517, Cleveland, Ohio 44193-1655.A gathering for Family and Friends will be held on Thursday, April 12, 2012 from 5-8 PM at Burr Funeral Home located at 116 South Street, Chardon, OH 44024.

We had the honor to have known Patricia. She was a friendy, joyful and beautiful person. She will be deeply missed by all her friends and family. Sending lots of love.

Pat will forever be in my memory! She was such a giving friend/person. One of my fondest memories of Pat is: when my mother (Edith Sidley) passed, the funeral home really botched her hair. Pat had done my mother's hair for many years. When Pat saw mother's frizzy hair, she took it upon herself to recomb and fix mother's hair so it looked beautiful, making mother look like herself. I thanked Pat many many times for doing that for mother. Every time I went in to get my hair cut, Pat would "catch" me up on her family, primarily on Ella and Jack. She loved them so much! The last time she cut my hair, she told me what a wonderful son-in-law she had in Mike. She said she thought of him as a son, more than a son in law. She teared up when she shared with me, all the good things about him. She loved her family and her God! I will miss the light she brought to my life.

Please accept our sincere sympathy for this loss for your family. Tanya was our connection to your family; she made such an important contribution to our family when my children were young. Through that relationship, I had the good fortune of meeting Tanya's parents. They were beautiful, loving, and kind people. Pat was a loving, caring person who was like a second mother to everyone who knew her. She will be sorely missed.

Remembering Bill and Pat's wedding. Remember family stories of three to four generations of close friendship and family gatherings. Of sharing family events like births, deaths and marriages. Picnics and parties were always more special when Bill & Pat came all the way from Painesville. Pat, I know how much you will be missed by all of us in Erie.
