If ever there was a skilled teacher of kindness, grace, and unconditional love, Aunt Pat was that mentor. She loved everyone- but she was no pushover. When she observed someone treating her or another wrong she had firm scolding words for such behavior. Pat, we benefitted from your generosity and love. You were the epitome of teaching by living. The gates of heaven will welcome you with open arms. Rest In Peace, sweet aunt.

When we were little kids, I would hear family call Aunt Pat, "Patsy" I thought that was a cool nickname. She had a beautiful bedroom off the living room of Grammy and Grandpa's house - french doors, billowy curtains, the perfect room for the sun to roll in. It was the best room in the house and it sure made things different when she moved out. I sure wish I would have made more time for visits, I'd love to hold those soft hands and sing Auf Wiedersehen.
