Millard “Pete” H. Thompson age 64 of Garretsville died July 2, 2014 at his home. Born March 23, 1950 in Madison, WV to Thomas and Mae (nee: Taylor) Thompson, he had been a lifelong area resident. Pete was a Sergeant in the US Marine Corp. serving from 1970 to 1974. He enjoyed golfing, fishing and being outdoors. Pete is survived by his children Mary Ann (Pete) Slone of West Farmington and Peter (Tina) Thompson of Hartsgrove; step-children Pam Moore and Bonnie Swift of Windham; 6 grandchildren; 1 great-granddaughter; siblings Joyce Easter of WV, Betty Kemp of FL, Thomas Thompson Jr of WV, Mary Jane Svoboda of Chardon, Alice (Bob) Evans of Painesville, Bertha (William) Wachsman of MI, Johnnie (Carrie) Thompson of NC, Pamela Truman of IL, sister-in-law Luria Thompson of OH and many extended family. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Bobby Thompson. Private family services will be held.
