Mary A. Poshedley age 100 of Hambden Twp. passed away March 1, 2015 at Joy’s Place in Munson Twp. Born Jan. 16, 1915 in East Brady, PA to Dominic and Assunta Maria (nee: D’Alanno) DeBlasis, she had been a longtime resident of Hambden Twp. Mary enjoyed cooking, doing for others and supporting the Cleveland Indians. Survivors include her daughters Mary Ann Sweet of Texas and Donna (Ron) Calascibetti of Thompson; son Fred (Ann) Poshedley of Hambden Twp.; 13 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; 26 great-great-grandchildren; sisters Susan Moscibrocki of Medina and Julie Kasper of Medina. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Martin Poshedley; son Martin Poshedley Jr; brothers Mario and Fred. Visitation will be from 2-4 & 6-8pm on Thursday March 5 at the Burr Funeral Home, 116 South ST. (On Rt. 44, 500’ south of Rt. 6/Chardon Square) Chardon, OH. A funeral mass will be held at 11:30am on Friday at the Church of St. Mary 401 North Street, Chardon, OH with burial to follow at Hambden Twp. Cemetery. Arrangements by the Burr Funeral Home of Chardon. Donations suggested to the American Parkinson Disease Association, Inc. 135 Parkinson Avenue Staten Island, New York 10305.
