To Mary Jo's family, I extend my deepest sympathies. I had the great pleasure of knowing Mary Jo back in the 1980's when we worked together at Mancy's restaurant for several years. We enjoyed several mutual friendships and spent many after hour evenings talking theatre, west end architecture, and restaurant gossip. For a couple of years, me, Mary Jo, along with our friend Denise worked the balcony at Mancy's every Saturday evening. We shared a lot of laughs and had a great workout trudging up and down steps all night long. Mary Jo also know my late husband Bob Meinardi as he coached her in swimming when she was young (possibly at the YMCA?) I will always remember he joyful nature, bright smile, and never ending energy.

Our deepest sympathies to Mary Jo's children and the Leopold Family. Our families intertwined greatly during the early years at parties, weddings and the old west end festivals. Mary Jo was always smiling and having a wonderful time. Please know that our prayers are with Mary Jo and family. God bless all of you,

My most sincere condolences to the Leopold family. Mary Jo was a shiny and smiling personality; she had a wondrous persona, always willing to play, to have fun to. She had great taste and liked the finer things in life. I met her in 1971 in the University of Toledo's theater department, dated her, and got to know her family, especially her brother Tim. I will never forget my time with her, my friendship with her, the great joy she brought into my life. Rest in Peace my lovely.
