Margaret Mary “Peggy” Visel age 92 of Marymount Village in Garfield Heights and formerly of Chardon was born on February 29, 1920 in Cleveland. She died on March 6, 2012 at Villa St. Joseph. Peggy Patton married Stanley Visel on August 31, 1946 in Cleveland. She served in the U.S. Coast Guard during WWII. Peggy lovingly raised five children. After retiring she enjoyed traveling with her husband and wintering in Florida and Avondale, Arizona. She enjoyed music, dancing, and spending time with her family. She was an active member of The Church of St. Mary for over 50 years. She also cared for foster children through Catholic Charities.Survivors include her children; Patrick (Jennifer) Visel of Columbus, Mary (Jim) Conway of Avondale, AZ, Anna (Greg) Sarley of Independence, Joseph Visel, and Thomas (Cheryl) Visel of Madison; Grandchildren, Brigette Conway, Toby Conway, Eileen (Lee)Rigdon, Kate (Mike) Haseley, Elizabeth Conway, Eric and Allison Sarley, Thomas, Michael, Collin, and Nicholas Visel, Kayla and Mike; Great Grandchildren; Hayden and Killian Ruiz, Walter, Molly, and Claire Rigdon, and Jack HaseleyShe is preceded by her husband, Stanley Visel, parents, Lawrence and Mary Patton, sister, Catherine Patton, and brother, Lawrence Patton. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, March 12, 2012 at 10:00AM at The Church of St. Mary, 401 North St., Chardon, Ohio 44024Visitation is Sunday from 4-7PM at the Burr Funeral Home, 116 South Street, (St. Rt. 44, 500′ south of Rt. 6/Chardon Square), Chardon. Burial will follow at All Souls Cemetery, Chardon Twp.
