MARC E. ERNST, age 80, a lifelong resident of Chardon, passed away on Sunday, February 26, 2017. Marc was very active in his community, being one of the founders of Ernst Lanes. He also served as a volunteer fireman, and as a councilman for several years. He served his country in the US Navy.
He was the beloved husband of 55 years to Laurelle (Peach) (Nee: Barr) and loving father of Michelle (Vince) Ricci of Concord, OH, Lisa Holmes of Mesa, AZ and Tamara Ernst of Toledo, OH. He will be greatly missed by his 7 grandchildren.
Other survivors are his brothers; Howard (Shirlee) and Dale (Bette) of Chardon, and Chalmer (Dottie) of Pepper Pike, OH. His parents were Elwell and Hazel (Nee:McClintock) Ernst.
The family will receive friends on Monday, March 6, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Burr Funeral Home, 116 South St. (On Rt. 44, 500’ south of Rt. 6/Chardon Square) Chardon, OH. Interment will be in Chardon Municipal Cemetery.
