Lu was actively involved in her husband’s several businesses over the years, of automotive repair shop, water well drilling, trenching, sales of recreational vehicles and mobile homes and mobile home park as the bookkeeper. She was a Lifelong member of the Pilgrim Christian Church in Chardon, OH, where she was in the Junior Aide Guild. She was a Graduate of Chardon High School, Class of 1929, a Member of the former Ruby Chapter #4, Chardon, Order of Eastern Star, now Clover Chapter #201 In Burton, OH. She was also a member of the “West Chardon Thimble Club” on Rt. 6, where sewing and gossip were practiced.The family wishes to express their grateful appreciation for the loving care given by the staff of the Residence of Chardon and Hospice of the Western Reserve to their Mom.Survivors include her daughter Marilou (Wilson “Woody”) Smith of Chardon, OH and son Fred (Marilyn) Wilder of Chardon Twp., OH , 5 Grandchildren: Kelly (William)Majetich, Tracy Smith, Todd (Regina) Smith, Glenn (Stacey) Wilder; and Kathie (Jon) Eberlein, 10 Great-grandchildren and 3 Great-great grandchildren. She also leaves neces Jeanne Mowrey Chadbourne and Donna Mowrey Johnson. Her parents Fred and Sarah (Sadie) (Nee: Summers) Mowrey, 1 sister Mary Aumick and 2 brothers Glenn and Leonard Mowrey are deceased.
