Lloyd E. Burnett, age 84 of Middlefield died July 14, 2016 at Heather Hill in Munson Twp. Born Aug. 3, 1931 in Newbury to Willard and Nina (nee: Pfeiffer) Burnett; he had been a lifelong area resident. He graduated from the US Naval Academy March 14, 1950 and served on the submarine USS Hammerhead in Pensacola, FL as a fireman. Lloyd married Faye D. Sampson in Chardon on Jan. 25, 1968; she preceded him in death Oct. 17, 2014. He loved driving truck, farming, his cows, watching the Indians and the NE Patriots. Survivors include his son Cory (Wendy) Burnett of Windsor; daughters Lori Mastromatteo of Mentor, Elizabeth (Eugene) Easthon of Chardon and Shelley Burnett of Cleveland; brothers Allen (Marilyn) of Chardon and Ralph (Barbara) of Montville; his grandchildren, great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; loving wife of 48 years Faye D. Burnett; daughter Amy Burnett; step-son Charlie Brown; step-daughter Marcie Brown; siblings Walter, Richard and James Burnett, Ada Sabo, Marian Perry and Evelyn Luoma.
