Kathleen Rose (nee: St. John) Intihar age 73 of Chardon died December 21, 2011 at UHHS Geauga Hospital. Born October 7, 1938 in Chicago, IL to Thomas St. John and Mary (Fred) she had lived in Cleveland before becoming a resident of Chardon for the past 25 years. Kathleen “Kay” St. John married Ray Intihar in Mayfield Heights. She was a loving homemaker and enjoyed spending time with her family and girlfriends. Kay liked traveling, shopping, and reading. She was a very giving person and participated in several fundraisers to benefit many charities. Kay was also a member of The Church of St. Mary in Chardon. She is survived by her husband of 36 years Ray Intihar of Chardon; daughter Kim (Chris) Vatty of Chardon; grandchildren Emily and Jacob Vatty; Mother-in-Law Mary Intihar of Lyndhurst; Sister-in-Law Gloria St. John of Chicago, IL; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her children Kathy and Jerry; parents, sister Mary Domino; and brother Thomas St. John.

Aunt Kay as we all called her, was always full of laughter, joy, and usually had a good joke to tell. she never forgot to send a Birthday card to all her relatives, as well as candy and gifts. She had a way of making you feel at home around her, even if you had just met her, or had not seen her for a long time. She had a good attitude in the face of hardships, which encouraged all those around her. Ray and Kim, and the whole family, you will be in my prayers, I'm so sorry for your great loss. When I was five or six years old( 1955-56) my aunt Kay would have me sing rock n roll songs along with her as we listened to the raidio. She help me to be a confident singer, and to really love rock n roll music. Thank You, Aunt Kay Your nephew Vincent

Ray,My heart goes out to you, Kim and family. Kay will be missed by everyone that she had touched. How, Kay always welcomed everyone to your home.
