Age 74 of Chardon Twp., died April 25, 2018 at Tri Pointe Medical Center, Concord Twp. Born February 19, 1944 In Clearfield, PA to John and Wilma (nee: Heichel) Showden, she has been in the area since 1969. Judy became an avid golfer to follow her husband. She took being a grandmother very seriously, following all of her grandchildren’s sporting events and school activities. She worked in Food Service for many years at Crust & Co. and Newbury Schools.

Survivors include her children Joan (Bret) Ransdell of Pompano Beach, FL, Diane (Rick) Mullins of Wickliffe and David K. Sass of Chardon Twp., grandchildren, Alex Sass, Erin, Kelly and Allyson Mullins, great grandson Vinnie Raphael, her sister Joyce (Ray) Leigey of Clearfield, PA. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Gary R. Sass and her grandson, Anthony Meade.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, May 1 from 1:00 – 3:00 and 5:00 – 7:00 PM at the Burr Funeral Home, 116 South St., (on St. Rt. 44, 500’ south of Rt. 6/Chardon Square) Chardon. The Funeral Service will follow at 7:00 PM. Information and condolences online at www.burrservice.com.

Judy was a good friend and will be missed. I know she is in a much better place now.. She loved her family very much and will be missed by all of you. Prayers & Hugs to all.

God bless you Judy, we will miss you very much. Not just a sister-in-law, but a true friend and loved one as well. We'll always remember you and the good times we had. God Bless you kids for helping your mother so much over the years and especially during the past seven months. We are are sorry to hear of Judy’s passing. We were neighbors for many years when we lived on East Mountainview Dr. She always had a smile on her face and wave when she saw us. Our condolences.

Again I am so sorry. I know how close you were with your mother and how much you will miss her. I wish I could make it to the funeral but I will be watching the boys in Columbus next week.

Judy was always very special lady. We had many good laughs. Here family was always first in her life. She will be missed.

Joan, David, and Diane, Words can not begin to express the sorrow that I feel for your loss. I'm so sorry that I am unable to come to Ohio to pay my respects. I hope that you know that I will be with you in spirit and can feel my love and prayers. Aunt Judy was truly special. Love you all!
