One of my favorite teachers of all the ones I had. She was wonderful to me and stayed in touch after I left her class. She was always very professional in her appearance and I’ll never forget her smile. I’ll miss you!

Joyce Miller was my middle school Social Studies teacher but she was also, embarrassingly at the time, my mother's cousin. She was my first cousin once removed. We had many visits from her and her mother Mabel on Sunday afternoons. It could be quite humorous at times as neither could hear very well so there was a lot of shouting and repeating of conversations. My father didn't enjoy their visits and would often hightail it out of the house until they had left. One thing I discovered only a few years ago was that Joyce had quite a sense of humor and I wish I had been around to have experienced more of it. She will be missed.

Thank you, Joyce. For being a strong, memorable teacher, for helping Mary and Anna and so many students with the CHS drama and musical productions. You were unique, and special. Love to you always . . .

Miss Miller was a lovely person. The Miller family lived next to my grandparents. My father Bill and his siblings Gene and Ralph were childhood friends. Many times Miss Miller and her mother made my father a cherry or rhubarb pie. From time to time I would see Miss Miller dining at Bass Lake. I will always remember her laugh and that grand smile. She had such style and grace. Miss Miller's charm bracelet was her one of a kind signature piece. Thank you for being a part of our lives. Fondly, Leslie

Miss Miller was my homeroom teacher in 7th & 8th grade. Loved her postcard collection. She was quite a lady. I loved to hear about her travels. She had class and character. She will be so greatly missed. There weren't many teachers like her back in the day.
