JOHN V. GULLO, Age 84 of Chardon, died Saturday, January 20, 2018 at Heather Hill Care Communities, Munson Twp. Born April 22, 1933 in Adena, OH, to George and Hazel (nee: Vehre) Gullo, he lived in Connecticut before moving to Chardon in 1973. John proudly served 20 years in the US Navy, before becoming an Electrician for Lincoln Electric. He was a member of VFW Post #6519, Chardon, he loved fishing, especially out west and hunting.
John is survived by his wife Marlene (nee: Bolos) Gullo whom he married in Hawaii in October, 1965, his children Denise (Keith) Torres of Ewa Beach, Hawaii, Keith (Rebecca Miller, M.D.) Gullo of Pentwater, MI and Kathryn Gullo of La Crescenta, CA, 5 grandchildren and 1 great grandchildren. He also leaves his sister, Margorie Bednarki of Adena, OH. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers George, Jr. and William.
The family will receive friends Monday, February 5, 2018 from 1:00 – 4:00 p.m. at the Chardon VFW Post #6519, 752 Water Street, Chardon, with a Memorial Service to be held at 2:00 p.m. The family suggests donations to Chardon VFW Post #6519, 44024.
