JoAnn F. Kniskern (nee: Yanovick)
Age 84, died Sat., December 23, 2017 at her home, surrounded by her loving family. Born October 29, 1933 in Portersville, PA to Andrew and Ann (nee: Maholic) Yanovick, she has lived in Chardon since 1968. JoAnn worked in Audio/Visual for Notre Dame/Cathedral Latin for 18 years, retiring in 1998. She was a member of the Church of St. Mary, she enjoyed knitting, crocheting, reading and bowling. Her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

JoAnn is survived by her husband, James, whom she married in Butler, PA, July 25, 1959, her granddaughters Maria (Ken) Zappitelli of Conneaut and Joanna (Gary) Tomcany of Eastlake, her great grandchildren Taylor, Devyn, Nicholas, Maddie, Deven, Cory, Kaela and Katie. She also leaves her sister Helen Richardson of Phoenix, AZ. She was preceded in death by her daughters Cindy Ann Cavaliere, Jennifer Ann Kniskern, her granddaughter Felina Cavaliere and her parents.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 – 7:00 on Wednesday, December 27 at the Burr Funeral Home, 116 South St. (on St. Rt. 44, 500’ south of Rt. 6/Chardon Square) Chardon, Mass of Christian Burial Thursday, December 28 at 11:30 AM at the Church of St. Mary, 401 North St., Chardon. Burial will follow at All Souls Cemetery, Chardon Twp.
