Jeffrey Todd Merkle, age 60, of Munson Township, Ohio, died March 16, 2018 at the David Simpson Hospice House, Cleveland, Ohio. He was born February 13, 1958 in East Cleveland, Ohio to George P. and Ruth E. (nee: Jones) Merkle.

Jeff was a Computer Programmer. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles #2261 of Chardon. He loved the beach, golfing, and although he was not good at it, he also enjoyed fishing. Most of all, he adored his grandson Eli. Jeff was the life of the party.
He is survived by his son, Jake of Chardon; daughter, Katie (Dusty) Bond of Aurora, Ohio; mother, Ruth E. Merkle of Munson Twp. Ohio; brother, Bob Merkle; Grandson, Eli Bond, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, George P. Merkle.

The family will receive friends Saturday March 24, 2018 from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m., at the Burr Funeral Home, 116 South Street, Chardon, OH. Following the visitation there will be a Memorial Service at 5:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers the family suggest donations be made to the National Wild Turkey Federation, 260 South Oval Drive, Chardon, Ohio 44024 or Hospice of the Western Reserve, 17876 St. Clair Ave., Cleveland, Ohio 44110.
