Jeffrey Koehler

Jefferey R. Koehler, a New Lyme resident and also lived in Willoughby, passed away March 24, 2012, at the Louis Stokes VA Medical Center. He was born Nov. 19, 1946, in Cleveland. Mr. Koehler served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1964 to 1967, and was an active member of the AA. He enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren. He was a car enthusiast, but especially enjoyed home projects. Survivors are his sons, John Koehler of Andover and Bernard (Melissa) Pettyjohn of Maryland; daughters, Christine (Andrew) Coe of Middlefield and Sarah (Chuck) Johnson of Colorado; several grandchildren; cousin, Edward McKenny of Andover; and longtime friend, Elizabeth Koehler. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clyde and Jean (Spellen) Koehler. Funeral services will be held 8 p.m. Thursday, March 29, 2012, at the Burr Funeral Home, 116 South St., (Route 44, 500 feet south of Route 6/Chardon Square), Chardon. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman. Contributions are suggested to the family.
