Debby, Allyn & Jon - Rodger & I were sad to hear of your mother's passing. It's been so many years since we've been in touch, but we wanted you to know our thoughts and prayers are with all of you.

Hello to all the "Lip" kids, grandkids and extended family. I was sorry today to read of Jan's passing. Mardy Church Dane and my sister in law Dawn Jackson Tolchinsky sent me this link. My connection with Jan (and big Al) goes back to my teen years when I first started dating Patrick, and then marrying into his wonderful family and friends, ..which included the Lipstreuers . I came to know and love them and they are forever integrated into my early married life..Jan's lovely knitted gifts when my children were born, Christmas trees a big tradition (still today) and many fun hours at Post 343. Coincidentally Jan, Al, Patrick and I shared the same wedding anniversary (4-25) so for many years it was a way we stayed connected after they moved to Florida. You kids grew up across from the Churches. Mardy has been my closest life long friend...my sister...it is a very small world indeed. While Mardy and I are older, I can recall stories of the younger "Lip" kids as part of our ongoing friendship. You can be proud you came from such good folks. Prayers to you all Nancy Jackson Woldt and family

In life there are few that we are as close to as family. On Puritan we could not have asked for closer, more caring or better friends. So many on my young memories fondly involve times spent with the Lips, from trips with Jan to the grocery since Mom did not drive, playing with Rusty, trips to Howards, ball games in the street, Monopoly, to numerous Legion events. My heart goes out to Deb, Ally & Jon and your families. With all my love, Lynn Church-Akin
