James “Jimmy” Martonchik
Age 63, of Chardon, OH, died on Christmas Day 2017. He was born on January 14, 1954, to Joseph A. and Mary Anne (Nee: Zelinko) Martonchik in Garfield Hts., OH. Jimmy was an aviation repair technician for 25 years with Lucas Aerospace. He then received his Associates Degree in Respiratory from Lakeland Community College, then began working in the Repiratory Therapy Department at the Main Campus of the Cleveland Clinic Hospital.
Jimmy has lived in the Chardon Area since 1990 and was a member of the Church of St. Mary in Chardon. He loved the outdoors and living and skiing in Vail, CO for 4 years, and also, bicycling, bowling and traveling (including Germany, Switzerland, Greece, Ireland and Mexico.)
Survivors include his wife, Ellen (Nee: O’Malley) of Chardon; 2 daughters, Shelley (Ben) Simon of Charleston, SC and Annie Martonchik of Cleveland, OH; 2 sons, Nick (Heather) Tromba of Burton and Mark (Stephanie) Tromba of Hilliard, OH; siblings, Maryanne Carse of Aurora, OH, Margaret (Frank) Wintroub of Fairfield, IA, Joseph (Geraldine) Martonchik of Northfield, OH, and John Martonchik of Chardon Twp., OH; 3 grandchildren, Evan, Addison and Rue James Tromba; Aunt and Uncle, Agnes and Jack Quint of North Olmstead, OH; and many in-laws, nieces and nephews.
