Henry “Hank” E. Weidner Jr, age 87 of Concord passed away Sept. 25, 2016 at Holly Hill Care Center in Newbury. Born Nov. 23, 1928 in Sheffield, PA to Henry E. and Kathrine (nee: Kujawa) Weidner Sr., he was a longtime Mentor and Concord Twp. resident. Hank served in the US Army Rangers being stationed in Germany during the Korean War. Upon his return home, Hank attending college in Cleveland and eventually graduating from Duke University. On Jan. 27, 1959 Henry married Geri Ulicne in Chicago. After his retirement from Chandler Products in Euclid, he found enjoyment in yard work and playing in the dirt in the garden. Survivors include his wife of 57 years Geri of Concord Twp.; daughters Lorene Weidner of Concord Twp and Elaine (Brian) Mace of Medina, OH; sister Jackie Franklin of Warren, PA. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Emma Thompson and grandson Connor Mace. Per Hank’s request, a private burial was held at Saint Joseph Cemetery in Warren, PA.
