Helen (nee: Hubbard) Skolaris, age 95 of Chardon died Aug. 6, 2012 at Blossom Hill Care Center in Huntsburg. Born Nov. 2, 1916 in Winfield, AL to James and Rachel (nee: Smith) Hubbard she was a sixty year area resident. Helen worked as a plastics finisher, retiring from Chardon Rubber Company after 23 years. She is survived by her daughter, Kathy (Glenn) Dorn of Huntsburg; son, Jim Love of Brooksville, FL; Stepsons, Fred (Betsi) Skolaris of Chardon, Frank (Wendy) Skolaris of Burton and Roger (Linda) Skolaris of Burton. Grandchildren, Cobi Dorn of Columbus and Jason (Cindy) Dorn of Middlefield; Hayley (Tom) Hamblin and Jamie McGrath of St. Petersburg, FL; Lori Mastromatteo of Mentor, Elizabeth (Eugene) Easthon of Chardon and Shelly Burnett of Cleveland; Mike (Tami) Skolaris of NC, James (Melissa) Skolaris ; Marla (Jamie) Hocutt of OH, and Jeni (Matt) Ashton of MD; Tom Skolaris of NC, Tina (Scott)Ayer of OH, Sherry (John) Rath of OH and Tara (Mark) Weathers of SC; Michelle (Marin) Simicevic and Keith Skolaris; brother, Preston Hubbard of TN , sisters, Doris Uren of PA, Kathryn (Ed) Coleman of AZ; sister-in-law Faye Hubbard; dear friend MaryLou Grennan; many great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Helen was preceded in death by her parents, daughter Faye June Parr, granddaughter Amy Burnett, sister Dixie Kading, brother Kenneth Hubbard and husbands Guy Love and Frank Skolaris. A Memorial Service will be 11am on September 22, 2012 at the Burr Funeral Home, 116 South Street, (St. Rt. 44, 500′ south of Rt. 6/Chardon Square), Chardon. Private family burial will take place.
