Gene E. Stockhaus, Age 85 of Chardon, died August 2, 2017 at the Residence of Chardon. Born February 20, 1932 in Cleveland to Richard and Anita (nee: Smith) Stockhaus, he was a lifelong area resident. Gene enjoyed being outdoors, hunting, fishing and campong throughout the United States. He also enjoyed crusing but his greatest joy was spending time with his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was a Snap on Tools Dealer from 1967 until his retirement in 1995. Gene proudly served in the US Air Force after graduating High School.

He is survived by his children, Michael (Elaine) Stockhaus of Painesville Twp. and Terri (Scot) Apthorp of Munson Twp., 9 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren with 2 more on the way. He was prededeased by his parents, his wife of 65 years, Georgie, children Debbie McKrill and Richard Stockhaus and his brother, Glenn.
