Florence (nee: Pearce) Tucker age 96 of Chardon died April 30, 2012 at Blossom Hill Care Center in Huntsburg Twp. Born April 11, 1916 In Liskeard, Cornwall, England to William and Susanna (nee: Vogwill) Pearce, she had lived in the area since 1948 less 15 years in Naples starting in the mid 80’s. Florence worked as a receptionist with Dr. Corey at the Corey Hospital and worked as a Senior Outreach Coordinator with the Geauga County Senior Center, formerly United Torch. Florence Pearce married George Tucker at the Truro Cathedral in England on Dec. 27, 1937. He preceded her in death Dec. 8, 1989. She then married John Egan in Naples, FL. He preceded her in death March 20, 1999. Florence played piano at the Royal Academy in England prior to her first marriage and was active with the Geauga Lyric Theater Guild. She is survived by her daughter Wendy Brooks of Chesterland; grandchildren Kathy (Dean) Pahr of Chardon, Bill (Vivian) Brooks of Chagrin Falls and Jennifer (Jeff) Hankins of Columbus; great-grandchildren Holden & Colin Pahr; Alexandra & Ashley Rose Brooks; and Josh Hankins. She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands George Tucker and John Egan; and grandson Greg Brooks. Private family services were held.
