Emma (nee: Asbury) Treadway, Age 89 of Chardon, Ohio died peacefully on August 14, 2018 at Pleasant View Health Care. Born August 24, 1928 in Red Jacket, West Virginia, Emma lived in Chardon for 41 years. Emma worked at Geauga Hospital for many years. Emma loved spending time with her grandchildren, cooking, gardening, reading, and sewing.
Emma is survived by 5 children, Dorna Chambers of Canton, Priscilla Hill-Powell of Akron, Kenneth Treadway of Chardon, Cathy (Michael) Urquhart of Charlotte, NC, and Phillip (Debbie) Treadway of Phoenix, AZ. 17 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, and 15 great, great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Treadway, parents Edward and Audrey Asbury, sisters Margie Pardue, Regina Farris, Arbutus Hatfield, brother James Asbury, son in law Richard Chambers, grandson Daniel Powell, and her beloved dog, Gizmo.

Many fond memories of Emma and I walking in the evening around Chardon High School race track. We shared so many good moments, We never lost any weight but we did get to know each other. She was a very kind and gentle lady. I think of her often.

I will miss Mom; I am so glad she made things right with God and asked Jesus to forgive her sins before the Alzheimer's got bad; so now I know we will see her again someday.

My thoughts and prayers go out to the entire family. I wasn’t a very close person to Emma but I always knew her as a wonderful person and a extraordinary grandma to my niece and nephew. May she rest in eternal peace.
