sorry to hear of Don's passing, but it is an event nobody eludes, and when faith comes into play, it is , indeed, a blessed event. My sincere condolences. I grew up in chardon, my father, Dick Kelly, and Don were good friends as Don always did our car repairs while we lived on Park Avenue. Lot of fun, Don taught me a lot about car repair, and he was a good part of my life. The days at the Shell station with Jesse Campbell around were always loads of fun, too. Again, my sincere condolences.
Bev, Barbie and Doug,

Dear Doug,
I am sorry to hear about the passing of your dad. I am sorry I was not able to attend but I just learned of your dads passing as I type.
I remember your dad coming to all the football & basketball games at Chardon to support you and of course the team. I also remember him coming to watch you bowl and of all of your friends in Jr. bowl too! Your dad was a very lovely man and someone who always had a smile on his face.
May my condolences bring you , your sister, Barb, your mom , Mrs Williams :) and all other family members comfort & peace during this sad time.
Love,
Judy Jonke-Thrasher

Bev and family I am so sorry for ur loss. Don was awesome especially at ponderosa park when they would meet us there. I miss those times. Love u RIP Don
Many good times going up in Chardon with the Williams family. Sorry for you loss thoughts and prayers go out to the family.
Sending prayers to all the family! Uncle Don is truely a wonderful guy and will be missed!! Guess him and Dad are now reminiscing about the cabins in PA and all the times playing horse shoes!!! Oh the fun we used to have before LIFE took over the more laid back times. Denise
Our hearts are heavy, and we both will miss that smile that Don had, the kind of smile that made you feel that you were with a good friend.
I honestly think that it was meant to be, that we met at that fan club party and have remained good buddies since then, I can barely think of Bev without Don, but I know that Don will forever remain in her heart, along with ours.
We so enjoyed when Don and Bev came to Canada, or when we met in Cortland, and then chased each other down the interstate, Don with that big smile on his face as we passed him on the road.
So I suppose the only way to look at this is that this is just another part of life that Don has went to, and God willing we will meet him again, so Bev stay strong, and know that Don will be looking down and maybe singing you a good old tune of Conway Twitty for you. I thank God for knowing Don, and I as much as he will be missed by Bev, family and friends, he is at peace, and with God now, (and as George sang, No One Will Fill His Shoes)...
Deepest Sympathy to you all, and know that he was loved by two Canadian friends....

Don was one of the most companionate people we know. He was always there for everyone. You did not have to be family or friend, he care about everyone. So full of life. You will be missed. Our hearts go out to all of you.
