Deven E. Tommer age 20 of Chardon passed away May 21, 2015 at UH Geauga Medical Center. Born January 3, 1995 in Grand Rapids, MI, he had been a longtime area resident. Deven was an avid skateboarder. Survivors include his son Owen Cavanagh of Chardon; parents Diana (Richard) Thompson of Chardon and James (Susan) Tommer of Montville Twp; siblings Amanda of Montville, Tiffany, Miranda and Lauren Tommer all of Chardon, Michael Tennyson of Pace, FL; Maranda and Marissa Thompson of Wickliffe and Natasha Roop of CA; Terri and Roy Switzer of Montville; Grandparents Ralph (Louise) Tennyson of Pace, FL and Gilbert (Carol) Thornton of Chardon; uncle Mike Tennyson; girlfriend Sonia Zimmerman of Chardon and Owen’s mother Brenna Cavanagh. Visitation will be from 5 to 7:30pm on Thursday, May 28, 2015 at the Burr Funeral Home, 116 South ST. (On Rt. 44, 500’ south of Rt. 6/Chardon Square) Chardon, OH. A funeral service will be held at 7:30pm on Thursday, May 28, 2015 at the funeral home with Dean Carlo officiating. Donations suggested to the family for final expenses.
