Age 53 of Chardon, passed away February 19 surrounded by her loving family and friends. Born April 17, 1962 in Hiram Rapids, she has lived in Chardon most of her life. Dee was passionate about life and her greatest joy was spending time with her children. She was the daughter of Donna (the late George) Lysyj and the late David (Kathleen) Berish. She is survived by her son Nicholas (Sarah Chula) Iacovone and daughter Chelsea Stanish, as well as her siblings David (Sharon) Berish of Mantua, Dana Eggert of Garrettsville, Andrea Lysyj of WA, and Daniel (Amiee) Lysyj of CO and many nieces and nephews. She also leaves her best friend and guardian angel, Diane Ostrowski of Kent and dear friend, Carla Drummond of SC.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 8:00 on Thursday, February 25 at the Burr Funeral Home, 116 South St. (On Rt. 44, 500’ south of Rt. 6/Chardon Square) Chardon. A funeral mass will be held at 11:30 AM on Friday, February 26 at the Church of St. Mary, 401 North St., Chardon. Private family burial will be held.

My condolences to the family. Chelsea was on my cheerleading squad for many years. Dee was at every practice and every game. She was a wonderful support for her daughter. She was such a positive person. She will be greatly missed.

My condolences to Dee's family and friends. Our daughters were cheerleaders together for a couple of years and we spent hours upon hours sitting on the bench talking to pass the time. Even though she didn't feel well, she was at every practice and every game with a smile on her face and a funny story to tell. She was a strong woman and will be missed.

Knew her from a ypungster,was shocked to hear the sad news. Rest in peace GOD BLESS.
