David “Buzz” G. Tiber, age 88 of Burton passed on April 4, 2017 at Briar Cliff Manor in Middlefield. Born April 1, 1929 in Cleveland to Charles and Lydia (nee: Gohl) Tiber; he had been a longtime Burton area resident. David Tiber married Thelma Ross on Oct. 12, 1957 in Cleveland and she was the love of his life. David served as deacon at his church, New Testament Baptist Church for over 40 years and was a faithful servant of Jesus. He found great joy in spending time with his large family. Survivors include his children Paul (Cheryl) of Burton, Stephen (Loretta) of Auburn, Loretta (Chi) Cheung of Burton, John (Jody) of Burton, Michael of Madison and Daniel (Kristen) of Chardon; 14 grandchildren; sister-in-law Gerry (nee: Ross) Tiber of Burton and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife of 48 years Thelma, who passed on Jan. 25, 2006; siblings Paul Tiber and Carolyn Rowney. Visitation will be from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 9, 2017 at New Testament Baptist Church, 12199 Claridon-Troy Rd, Chardon, OH. A Memorial Service will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 9, 2017 at the church. Private family burial took place at Slitor Cemetery in Burton Twp.
