Daniel J. Foltz, Sr., age 25 of Kirtland, OH died Jan. 7, 2012 at his residence. Born Dec. 15, 1986 in Mayfield Hts, OH to Doyle and Becky (nee: Pace) Foltz he has lived in Shelby Twp, MI prior to moving to Kirtland in 2005 . Daniel worked as a line cook for Perkins in Painesville. Daniel enjoyed the outdoors and fishing. His greatest joy was spending time with his friends and family, especially his son DJ. He is survived by his son Daniel “DJ” Foltz, Jr. of Kirtland; parents Doyle and Becky (nee: Pace) Foltz of Kirtland; sister Julia Foltz of Kirtland; brothers Thomas (Erica) Foltz of Concord, James (Kelly) Foltz of Mogadore and Don (Christina) Foltz of Leroy Twp.; grandmother Margaret Pace of Mentor; many nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. He was preceded in death by his grandparents Richard Pace, Norman and Wanda Foltz; and sister Pamela Foltz.

Danny ALWAYS had a smile on his face and was just as "goofy" as the rest of us! So many memories have come to us over the past few days as we looked at pictures and remembered times we've spent with him: as a child and as he grew into a young man. Six months ago when we saw Dan the day of Nathan's calling hours, when I asked him how he was, he said that he was "Pissed off about Nathan". I remember thinking what an odd comment. So brutally honest. No sugar coating. A trait that him and Nathan shared. They both just said it how it is. RIP Danny-you are forever with us in memory.
