Dale H. Redding age 75 passed away January 17, 2017 at his home. Born March 12, 1941 in Cleveland to Elmer H. and E. Louise (nee: Krause) Redding, he had been a lifelong area resident. Dale worked for and retired from Bailey Controls (ABB) after over 40 years. He enjoyed hiking and being in nature; his greatest joy was spending Sunday’s with family. He is survived by his children Warren of Willoughby and Scott of Willowick; former spouse and best friend Patricia (nee: Haines) Redding of Willoughby; brothers Ronald (Sandra) of Chardon and Wayne (Melinda) of Chagrin Falls; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents. Visitation will be from 11:00 am to 1:15pm on Saturday, January 21, 2017 at the Burr Funeral Home, 116 South St. (On Rt. 44, 500’ south of Rt. 6/Chardon Square) Chardon, OH. A Funeral Service will be held at 1:15 pm on Saturday at the funeral home with burial to follow at Williams Cemetery in Leroy Twp. Arrangements by the Burr Funeral Home of Chardon. Hi Warren and Scott, we are cousins to your dad. Dales mom, Louise, and our mom, Evelyn, were sisters. We saw Dale over the years at family events. We remember when he and your mom married and when the both of you were born. Your dad was such a good son to Elmer and Louise. When we would come to 9985 Sherman rd to visit your grandpa Elmer and grandma Lou, Dale would most often be there working on the property. It always seemed to me that he was dedicated to maintaining their land and worked very hard to keep it nice for them.
