Clifford F. Becker

November 7, 1946 - February 24, 2012

Clifford F. Becker age 65 of Burton, Ohio died February 24, 2012 at UHHS Geauga Hospital following a sudden onset of sepsis. Born November 7, 1946 in Cleveland, Ohio to Clyde and Pauline Becker, he had lived in Cleveland until moving to Burton in 1951. Cliff worked as a material handler for Mar-bal in Bainbridge and retired in November 2010. He married Judith Jacob on June 27, 1979 in Chardon. In his spare time, Cliff was a sport enthusiast, fisherman, and movie connoisseur. He is survived by his wife Judith Becker of Burton; son William A. Smith of Smithfield, RI; daughters Christy L. Herring of Dickinson, TX and Sherry L. Worthen of Painesville; brother Keith (Debbie) Becker of Novelty; Sister, Sharon (Jerry) Glatz of Leesburg, FL; 7 Grandchildren and 4 Great Grandchildren; nephews Keith II, Donald, and Robert Becker. He was preceded in death by his parents and his nephew Jason Glatz.

I always liked Cliff, he was kind of a loner at times but he watched and listened. I can't think of anybody who ever said anything bad about him. He was well liked! I haven't seen him in 40 years but I still remember him and his Sister. Rest my Friend, God be with you. ---Biss---

Mrs. Becker and Family,I just wanted to say that Cliff was a wonderful man and I feel honored to have met him and enjoyed working with him. He would tell me stories about his family and his dog and how much he enjoyed them. On Friday, during football season, he would tell me how he was going to watch the games in his favorite chair with a dog and a beer and then on Monday he would talk about how good the Ohio State game was and how bad the Browns were.Cliff was a great person, a hard worker and a good family man. Ingrid and I would like to express our deep sorrow to Cliff's family for the loss of my cousin Clifford. As a child our family would make the long trip from Long Island to Burton Ohio to visit ourAunt Pauline & Uncle Clyde and young Cliff & Sharron. I will always cherish the times we would go down to the lake to swim or fish or just horse around. May the Lord accept your sole into his arms for all eternity.

Cliff's family has my deepest thoughts/prayers during this most difficult time. Words can never really ease at a time like this, but may they truly cherish the moments they had with Cliff and know that he left an imprint on their hearts that will always be there. Take care!
