Ced L. Smith, Age 95 of Claridon Twp., died June 5, 2018. Born January 11, 1923 in Chicago, IL to Cedric B. and Lilyan (Snodgrass) Smith, he has been a resident since 1950. He was the Branch Counsel for Lawyers Title for 24 years, retiring in 1988. He had been a member of the Geauga County and the Ohio State Bar Associations. Ced proudly served in the US Army as a 2nd Lt. during World War II.
Ced is survived by his daughter Cathy (Mike) Dasch of Claridon Twp. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Marlene (Logsdon) Smith in 1989 after 32 years of marriage.
Private family services were held. The family suggests donations to the Geauga County Dog Shelter, 12513 Merritt Dr., Chardon, Ohio 44024.
