Carl E. White
Age 91, of Chardon Twp., OH, died on Sunday, Dec. 10, 2017, at Blossom Hill in Huntsburg Twp., OH. He was born in Claridon Twp., on August 6, 1926, to Stanley and Blanche (Nee: Randles) White. He graduated from Windsor High School, Class of 1944, then served in the US Navy during WWII.
Carl had been a Foreman for 29 years, at the former Snap Out Forms in Chardon, before retiring after 15 years as a machinist for Solon MFG in Chardon. He married Alaine Burkhardt Hobson in 1972. He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting and trapping, keeping bees and growing vegetables in his two huge gardens; playing baseball; and volunteering at the Geauga Park District.
Survivors include his wife, Alaine of Chardon; daughters Shirley Johnson of Claridon Twp., and Carleon White of Orwell, OH; step children, Jane (“Skip”) Keller of Tucson, AZ, Ellen (James) Wodiuk of Queen Creek, AZ, and Thomas (Janet) Hobson of Denver, CO; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by daughter, Sharon Chace; siblings, Arlene Bean, Roy, Cecil and Dwayne White.
