Betty J. Evans  age 60 of Newbury passed away May 22, 2015 at home. Born August 23, 1954 in Cleveland to George and Pearl (nee: Vance) Morris, she had been a lifelong area resident. Betty was a very caring, generous and thoughtful person. She enjoyed shopping, collecting clowns and travel to Arizona, but her greatest joy was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Betty liked to entertain and host parties for friends and family; brining everyone together. She will be deeply missed by all that knew her. Survivors include her mother Pearl Morris of Newbury, children Joan (Jim) Fabiny of Burton and Brian Evans of Newbury; grandchildren Kristen Fabian, Britany Evans, Jenna and Kole Fabiny; sister Phyllis (David) Runion of Burton; sister-in-law Sharon Morris of Lake Milton, OH; former husband George Evans of West Farmington and extended family. She was preceded in death by her father George D. Morris and brother George W. Morris. Visitation will be from 5 to 8pm on Wednesday, May 27, 2015 at the Burr Funeral Home, 116 South ST. (On Rt. 44, 500’ south of Rt. 6/Chardon Square) Chardon, OH. A funeral service will be held at 11am on Thursday, May 28, 2015 at the funeral home with burial to follow at Munn Cemetery.
