Betty Diemert (nee: Anderson), Age 79 of Concord Twp., died Wednesday, November 29, 2017 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Born May 5, 1938 in Glouster, OH, to John and Minnie (nee: Grimm) Anderson, she been a lifelong area resident. Betty was an avid volunteer of BINGO at Riverside High School and the Jean Chase Memorial Scholarship. She enjoyed shopping and spending time with her friends and cousins, traveling around Ohio, Sharon, PA and Rhode Island to visit family. Betty was an avid reader. She and her husband were active throughout the community volunteering. Their home was always open to family and friends. Her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband of 57 years, Dick Diemert of Concord Twp., children Mary Earley of Bainbridge, Liddy Pridemore of Rock Creek, Pam Diemert of Leroy Twp. and John (Deana) Diemert of Madison; grandchildren Keri (Mike) Murphy, Megan and Mitchel Diemert, Nathan Earley, Chyenne Jackson, Hunter and Gabbi Pridemore and great grandchildren Aiden and Gavin. She was preceded in death by her parents and son Rick Diemert.
Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday, December 4 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Helen’s Catholic Church, 12060 Kinsman Road, Newbury. The family will receive friends 1:00 – 5:00 at the Concord Community Center, 7671 Auburn Road, Concord. Arrangements by the Burr Funeral Home, Chardon.
