Bernice N. Comer age 84 of Chesterland passed away April 22, 2015 at home. Born October 24, 1930 in Cleveland to Benjamin and Antoinette Majewski, she had been a longtime area resident. Bernice Majewski married George Comer August 25, 1951. She enjoyed fishing, hunting and competitive trap shooting. Survivors include her husband George of Chesterland; children Rosemary Burkey of Concord, George (Coletta) Comer, Jr. of Kingsman, AZ and Jim Comer of Chardon; 9 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren and sister Irene Gulick of Euclid. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Bill Majeski and grandson James Burkey. A Memorial Mass will be held 11:30 a.m on Friday May 1, 2015 at the Church of St. Mary, 401 North Street, Chardon. Interment will be held at a later date. Cremation by the Burr Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Chardon, 116 South Street Chardon, Ohio 44024. Donations suggested to Hospice of the Western Reserve 17876 St. Clair Ave Cleveland, OH 44110.
