Barbara M Reid age 74, a resident of the West Harbor of Ashtabula and a Lifelong Area Resident died Jan. 16, 2012 at Hillcrest Hospital. Born Nov. 11, 1937 in Chardon, OH to Gustav and Helen (nee: Pelesh) Stochl she had worked as a nurses aide at area facilities and facilities in the Chicage Area. Barbara Stochl married Earl “George” Reid, Jr. on June 2, 1956 in Thompson. She was a Member of the Ladies Auxiliary for the Montville Twp. Fire Department as well as a member of the Morning Glory’s Tuesday Morning bowling league. Barbara enjoyed camping and being in nature. She crocheted and loved reading. Barbara enjoyed helping George with any and all woodworking projects. Her greatest joy was spending time with her friends and family. She is survived by her husband Earl “George” Reid, Jr of Ashtabula; daughter Lois (William) Shook of Waldorf, MD; sons Earl (Julia) Reid III of Virginia Beach, VA, Richard (Tracy) Reid of Claridon Twp, and Steven Reid of Summit, IL; grandchildren Emily, Christina, Lydia, Samuel, Brian, Kyle, Julia, and RyanGreat-grandchildren: James and Thomas; sisters Mayme Such of Cherry Valley, Florence Baran of Canal Fulton and Helen Ann Masino of Highland Hts. She was preceded in death by her parents.
