Mr. Johnson retired from Mapledale Farm in 2008 after 26 dedicated years of service. He and his wife owned and operated Mapledale along with their son. Previously he sold and repaired farm equipment for Sal Helzer Equipment. He also worked in Game and Food vending for Servomation. He was also a truck driver. He loved snowmobile and motorcycle racing, reading, NASCAR, backyard pool and patio, traveling, producing maple syrup and hunting. His greatest joy was spending time with his family. Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Judith (nee: Fern) Johnson of Hambden Twp., OH, whom he married October 11, 1959 in Washington, Iowa, daughters Kathryn (Howard) Cowling of Perry, OH, Laura (Mark) Manley of Leroy, OH, sons David (Beverly) Johnson of Hambden Twp., OH and Arthur L. Johnson, Jr. of Hambden Twp., OH,, 12 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren, brother Phillip (Norma) Johnson of Hambden Twp., OH and sister Barbara (Ron) Rodgers of AZ and Assorted nieces and nephews. His parents Paul and Maxine M. (nee: Summers) Johnson and sister Margaret “Peg” Kimpton are deceased. The family requests donations to your favorite charity in his honor.
