Alice C. Carlson, 86, of Saco, Maine, died Thursday, January 5, 2012 at St. Andre’s Healthcare Facility. She was born January 29, 1925 in Oak Ridge, PA, a daughter of Cloyd and Sarah (Himes) Wolfgang and was educated in Oak Ridge schools. On July 23, 1949, she married Robert E. Carlson at Oak Ridge Methodist Church in Oak Ridge, PA. She was employed at Sylvania in Erie PA, and after moving to Hambden, OH in 1951, she became a homemaker. In 2006, she moved to this area to be closer to her daughter and grandchildren.Alice enjoyed cooking, homemaking, gardening, listening to Family Radio and reading her Bible. She also enjoyed traveling to Florida, especially St. Pete Beach.Preceding her in death were her husband, Robert E. Carlson, her sister, Joyce Alt and her brother, Jay Wolfgang.Surviving are:1 daughter, Chauda Labbe of Biddeford2 grandchildren:Laura Boyer and her husband David of Old Orchard BeachChristopher Labbe of Biddeford2 brothers: William Wolfgang and his wife Kathleen of Chardon, OH Donald Wolfgang and his wife Marge of Erie, PA2 sisters: Jeanette Kluciar of Ford City, PARebecca Beall of New Bethlehem, PA1 sister-in-law: Ida Wolfgang of Mechanicsville, MDand many loving nieces and nephews.Visitation will be Sunday, January 8, 2012 from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. at Burr Funeral Home, 116 South St. Chardon, OH. Services will follow at 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be 10:00AM on Monday, January 9th in Hambden Cemetery in Hambden.
